Following a scoreless first half both teams scored 2 goals in the second half as Waynedale Golden Bears and the St. Thomas Aquinas Knights fought to a 2-2 tie. Kevin Berkey scored both goals for Waynedale. The first from a Corey Gerber direct kick, and the second from a Gerber long throw-in. Aquinas tied it up when they were awarded a penalty kick with just over three minutes remaining in the game.
