With just over 24 minutes to go in the game, Freshman Justin Irias broke the off sides trap with a pass to freshman Jake Greathouse. Greathouse held off the chasing West Holmes defenders and "put a bulge in the old onion bag" (hit the back of the net) to provide all the scoring necessary for the Golden Bears seventh victory of the season. Kyle Miller earned his third shut out of the season and was credited with 3 saves. The Bears outshot West Holmes 10 - 5.
