Freshman Justin Irias scored the game winning goal with just under eight minutes remaining in a scoreless game. The Golden Bear victory gave the Northwestern Huskies their first loss of the season. It also moved the 6-2 (4-1 league) Bears into second place one half game behind Chippewa (4-0-1) Kyle Miller made 2 saves to earn the shut out.
